Alina is a student from Germany who is doing her Master’s to become an English and Latin teacher. She came to England to practise her already excellent English skills and to get some work experience in a school environment. She spent 3 months at Cavendish School of English and she simply stole our hearts by being helpful, kind and diligent! We have no doubts that Alina will be an amazing teacher who will inspire and motivate many students. She is greatly missed in the Academic Office and we hope she will come back one day…

When I came to Cavendish School of English (Bournemouth) as a student, my plan was to improve my English in a language course for six weeks, get my IELTS and leave for Malta afterwards. But then my plans changed…
I met an amazing team of teachers and staff in the Academic Office, and I thought about staying here for the remaining seven weeks . That’s what I did and it was the best decision I made!
In my first two weeks I worked as an Orange Leader and accompanied students from Thailand and Ukraine on their trips. At first it was challenging but the experience with the children was worth the trouble and I saw many places in the south of England.
During the last five weeks I had the opportunity to gain insight into the work of the Academic Office and I even taught on the adult side for some lessons – the best experience for me as a future teacher! I helped organising afternoon activities, preparing the weekly tests and got to know many students from different countries. I will really miss all the lovely people I met here and I’m looking forward to coming back some day!
